TeachSafe
In 2016 the company's founder, Georgina Cook, was asked to speak at a government focus group on her experience of setting up the OHMS for a brand new government secondary school, Albert Park College. Here she met both primary and secondary schools from the region and she was subsequently approached to assist other schools with administering the OHMS.

Since then TeachSafe has been created to offer freelance support to schools helping to manage what is increasingly a complicated and vital part of running a school facility.
​
TeachSafe differs from other services that provide purely software support. An outsourced administration service, we understand how important it is to work in partnership with schools to successfully implement policies and procedures to ensure a compliant workplace that is fundamentally a more enjoyable and safe place to work.

I am the daughter of a High School Principal and a teacher and while studying at University I worked in school office administration at Albert Park College. In 2024, I became a mother for the first time, crystalising my deep passion and commitment to safety in education.
​
I have been setting up the Department’s Occupational Health and Safety Management System for schools in Victoria since 2011. With dozens of successful implementations under my belt, I formalised my offering in 2020 with the inception and launch of TeachSafe. Retaining all our founding clients, we continue to deliver outstanding results for schools in Victoria.
​
Our clients have passed Department of Education audits with exceptional results, showcasing the quality of our offering. We pride ourselves on becoming an extension of your team, learning your school inside out so that we can quickly and easily assist.
​
We also learn as we go, absorbing best practice from the schools we work with and sharing that knowledge amongst our community. In 2024, we have continued to evolve and now offer evacuation maps, chemical registers and camps and excursion support, as we grow to meet the needs of our school communities.
